TCC believes in the power of youth and the role they will play in the future as leaders and members of the Church. As such, youth development has always been of the highest priority at TCC. Below are brief synopses on the youth groups at TCC. The groups meet regularly on Sunday night at 5:30 at the church, September through May, unless indicated otherwise in the schedule below. Children's Christian FellowshipThe CCF is for our youngest members and includes children from grades 2-5. These groups meet weekly during the school year and are a chance for our youngest members to fellowship and have fun with each other. The Chi-Rho group is for youth in grades 6-8 and is designed with age appropriate activities. On any given Sunday, you may see this group trying to put Pink Flamingos in your yard. If they are successful (and you do not catch them) then you must make a $5.00 donation to the group which will be distributed at the end of the year to a mission of their choice. If, however, you catch them in the process, they owe you 5 hours of service at your house - you can finally get those pesky windows washed!! Faithful Young Christian (FYC)The FYC group is designed for youth in grades 9-12. The FYC at TCC are involved in mission work, fund- raising and spiritual growth for the youth. The group addresses, from a Christian perspective, many of the issues they face in their lives. |
