Rev. Jack Thomas

Interim Minister 

Pastor Jack has served in ministry for more than 37 years, faithfully leading as a senior pastor, missions pastor, and interim pastor for multiple churches. His heart for missions has taken him from disaster relief and medical work to discipleship and relationship-building, including serving as a missionary in Kiev, Ukraine, during the collapse of the Soviet Union from 1989–1992. He also served as a nurse during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, blending compassion with practical care wherever God has called him.

Pastor Jack’s life and ministry are shaped by his favorite Scripture, John 11:35, and his personal motto: “Let my heart be broken by the things that break the great heart of God (Eternal Love).” He shares life with his loyal service dog, Kuechly, and treasures time with his family, including his son, daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters.

When he’s not serving, Pastor Jack enjoys Tar Heel men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, and softball, cheering for the Carolina Panthers, hiking, and tackling home repair projects.

Brooke is passionate about helping kids begin a lifelong adventure with Jesus. She loves teaching Scripture, building meaningful relationships, and creating a safe, welcoming space where children can grow closer to God and one another.
